Exploring Heroic Potential and Its Applications
Why this page and why now?
The list below contains an AI-generated overview of what "heroic
potential" means on different societal levels. I want you to take note of
the fact that the odds are high that you have not been
formally trained on any of these subjects by higher education.
Typically, "life" and "work life" will have taught you some of these
skills in some shape or form, which is great in "normal" times. However,
I'm still an advocate for this to be a substantial course in each and
every university and university college around the globe.
However, we are entering "abnormal" times. A 4th industrial revolution,
led by AI, will accelerate and challenge each and every topic mentioned
below, and we as individuals, the companies we serve, the governments we
fall under, are woefully underprepared for the speed of this change.
Remember the Corona pandemic? It only took a small supply chain shock to
turn us into toilet paper hoarders. Our Pavlovian needs took over, and we
weren't far from animal-mode at times.
We don't need more managers and leaders, those are corporate terms. We
need more heroes. People who have built up a level of
resilience that renders them able to remain in productive mode instead of
defensive mode, able to be of service to others. And there is heroic
potential in all of us, but we have to prepare for it. If all of us are
able to help our closest neighbor somehow, we have helped everyone on the
face of the planet.
